This article’s aim is to attempt to answer the question whether the Egyptian Coptic Christian community and its political, societal and economic demands are viewed through the lens of citizenship or the status of the religious minority via the use of research supported by questionnaires submitted to the Coptic community. This particular study endeavors to analyze and explain the relation between inclusive and exclusive policies on the one hand, and the nature of the previously prevailing political system in Egypt on the other.
