This article examined the multilevel dynamics between the state of Israel and the Christian religious authorities internationaly. More specifically, the author focuses on two major events. One, the agreement between the Holy See and Israel, which entailed mutual recognition and a full diplomatic relationship, in 1993 and two, the resolution adopted by Presbyterian Church USA, which launched a process selective divestment in multinational corporations operating in Israel in 2004 respectively.
