This book examines the contemporary Palestinian Christian Theologies, more specifically the Liberation Theology and the Contextual Theology, which place the Western Christian analyses in the Palestinian context. After examining the historical and political background of Palestine, along with the growth and development of nationalism within the Palestinian Christian community, the author analyzes the way these were interpreted by prominent Palestinian theologists, mainly by Anglican Naim Ateek and by Lutheran Mitri Raheb, as well as the way they practiced it in their respective organizations. The common ground of these two theologies were the attempts to relate theology to practice, by promoting dialogue and understanding between the three religions in Palestine as well as offering tools for a non-violent and just struggle for peace and coexistence in Palestine and Israel.
