Evangelical Christians enthusiasm for Israel is examined, as the operation of a typical organization in the United States like Christians United for Israel (CUFI) shows how its underpinning religious beliefs provide the basis of support for the state of Israel, and could have a potential impact on US foreign policy making. Apart from actively involved in lobbying for influence over American foreign policy towards the Middle East in general and Israel in particular, CUFI lures Christian tourists back to Israel, to demonstrate their solidarity, contributing significant theological, political, moral and financial support to Israel.
