This article examines the aftermath of the Arab uprisings and the electoral win of the Muslim Brotherhood in the Egyptian political life with regards to the Coptic community. Sectarian tensions, violent outbreaks and the relationship between the Copts and the state are highlighted in order to emphasize the issues related to the Copts and to articulate the ongoing demands of the Coptic community. Hence by underlining the issues, the author stresses the sustainability of the Egyptian "divide and conquer" political tool which has been utilized by previous and current regimes during the past decades.
