Young Christian women share many commonalities and similarities with Muslim Jordanian and Palestinian women in the East and the West as patterns emerge and are established, through the examination of a diverging public and private discourse. These similarities in the religious beliefs and practices of Muslim and Christian women (and men) are the result of a shared socio-cultural space as well as specific historical and political circumstances Therefore, differences in beliefs are not translated into different behaviors, which partly explains the relatively harmonious coexistence of Christians and Muslims in Jordan.
