This book examines the state of Christians and Christianity throughout most of the Middle East, with its focus being on Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Jerusalem and the Gulf region. The book is partially the result of a conference held during 2019 in Romania. As such the articles of the book focus on a number of issues, from the weaponization of Jerusalem for political matters, to the strife for equal citizenship of the Egyptian Copts, to identity matters related to the "homeland" and many more. Additional analysis is attributed to the life of Christians in the Gulf region, as well as to issues concerning political participation in Lebanon.
