While Christian communities still live in the Jazira region, the Armenian Christians communities in Efrin and Kobane have disappeared. The remaining Christians are converts who are particularly vulnerable, because both the jihadists and the different Islamist militias cooperating with Turkey consider them apostates. This paper gives an overview of the different Christian groups in northern Syria, their social and political situation, and their relationship to the autonomous Administration, the Syrian regime, and the Turkish occupation and its Islamist militias.
