The role of socio-economic factors in changing relations between Muslim and Christian Arabs in Israel between 1967 and 2010

This article examines the encounters of Arab Muslim and Arab Christian relations in Israel with a particular focus between 1967 and 2010. Based on a field research of 91 in-depth interviews, field surveys and documents from private collections, the author studies the Islamization that came along with the ideological, socioeconomic, demographic and urbanization changes. The research concludes that these factors have greatly contributed to the deterioration of the Muslim–Christian relations among Arabs in Israel during the aforementioned period.
