This study focuses of the transformation of the Armenian popukation in Jerusalem, which is made up of the mostly refugees that survived the Armenian genocide in 1915. Under the prism of the political developments on a regional and international level, the author examines the evolution of the Amerian monastary into what is known today "the Armenian neighbourhood".
